The content for this App was developed by Crystal Taveras and Mayra Roldan. Crystal Taveras holds a Master's Degree in Special Education and has worked with students with Autism. Mayra Roldan holds a Master's Degree in speech and language pathology and has worked with the bilingual population in the area of language development. The videos are organized into a hierarchy beginning with syllables and ending with sentences. Each video is intentionally brief to keep the user's attention and to focus on each of the levels. Each word, phrase, and sentence is functional and designed to assist in building vocabulary. The app contains detailed instructions to guide the user through the progression of the various levels.
VAST-Autism (Spanish) is organized in a six-level hierarchy, in progressive order:
- Repetition of syllables
- Articles and More
"As a speech-language pathologist, I've found this app to be useful with clients with both autism and apraxia. Word and phrase choices are both simple and functional. Definitely worth the price!"

Engaging and Effective!
"My 5 and 6 year old minimally verbal students with autism are responding so favorably to this app. It is set up with words, phrases and high frequency sentences, and it is easy to navigate. The video modeling of the speaker's mouth is captivating my students' interest, and the IPad seems to be the perfect viewing device for this kind of modeling. This is already the most effective oral language app I have used to date with this population. I can't wait to use it again after the success I witnessed today. I highly recommend it to both clinicians and parents!"
